Here's Katriece's story:

Katriece is a single mom of an 8-year-old son. She was diagnosed in 2015 with idiopathic gastroparesis. Her symptoms eased for a while, but came back full force in 2024. She is now malnourished due to a paralyzed stomach and suffers from brain fog, severe stomach pain, and pain in her bones and joints due to lack of essential nutrients. She has been back and forth to the doctors over the past year, with no clear answers.

She currently can't work due to her condition but has applied for disability and does Door Dash when she is able. Her hope is to use this concert to share her story with others, to encourage people going through hard things, and to get the extra boost she needs to come out of the hole this diagnosis put her in.
