The Rondo Rigs / Walker's Run

About The Rondo Rigs: Welcome to the ever unravelling, quickly evolving world of The Rondo Rigs, an electrified leslie fiddle power trio formed by longtime musical collaborators Eric Robertson (Bass, Guitar, Mandolin), Duncan Wickel (Fiddle, Cello, Leslie), Nicholas Falk (Drums, Banjo, Bass). Rooted in American musical traditions from the Appalachian Mountains to the streets of New Orleans, The Rondo Rigs’ sound is influenced by artists like John Hartford, The Band, Sly and The Family Stone, and The Meters.

The Rondo Rigs play music, all the time. Whether it’s Country Songs, Fiddle Tunes, Rock and Roll or Greasy Southern Blues and Funk, it’s all about that infectious energy that keeps listeners intrigued and on their toes. It’s not uncommon for shows to include jams pre and post, and you are invited to come along as they morph from song to song, instrument to instrument, acoustic to electric, and street to stage. With three singers and multi-instrumentalists The Rondo Rigs brand of a uniquely Supercharged Americana boasts original songwriting that has been woven with sharp-witted lyrics, and danceable melodies that will keep you singing and shaking all night.

The Rondo Rigs are currently putting the finishing touches on their full-length debut album, produced by Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers), which is set for a March release. We hope that you will follow us through this exciting process and can’t wait to share this new music. In the meantime, you can Dig The Rigs on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates, media, tour dates, etc.

About Walker's Run: Nearly twenty years ago, guitarist and songwriter Brennan Gilmore began gathering musicians who, like Gilmore, had grown up in the rich traditions of Appalachian music and fused them with a wide range of other musical influences.  The musical collective of Walker’s Run mutated and evolved over the years and now includes fiddler Nate Leath, mandolinist Daniel Knicely, and original bassist Zack Blatter.  Will Lee, a founding member with Knicely of the legendary Virginia newgrass band Magraw Gap will be joining the band for this run through Virginia.  The new line-up of Walker's Run stretches even further beyond the realm of traditional Americana, incorporating African, jazz, and punk influences.

Walker's Run and its members have appeared on prominent stages throughout the United States and overseas, including the Kennedy Center, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, El Djem, Tunisia, Theater at Lime Kiln, and many more.
